Jonathan Harker Diary

I bid you welcome. Here is a collection of my archived writings set out before you and collectively referred to as the Jonathan Harker Diaries. The Jonathan Harker Diary is a collection of short stories, ghost tales and day to day experiences. Of course nothing is what it seems here in the ghostly world of Jonathan Harker, but amongst the strange and bizarre there are lighter moments which I shall write and share and sincerely hope you enjoy.

The Jonathan Harker Diaries - past edition

What really lurks in these diary pages

Have you ever had a ghost share a car journey with you or glad you hadn't taken that telephone call like some poor unfortunate soul did early in the year. What of Mr Hustwick and that of Mr Long? Read all about these episodes and many more in my diary entries for 2009. I have met many interesting people in my time, indeed some bizarre characters, scary people, funny people, dark people, creative souls, artistic souls and haunted souls. Read all about them here for amongst the events are tales I have come across during my time living amongst this ghostly world. Let me share it with you.

Field Guide to Vampyres

The Rose

Apparently to protect from the unwelcome attentions of vampyres the rose bush cannot be underestimated. It seems that roses are particularly a favourite for armoury. Now if you find a vampyre sleeping in its coffin place a branch of wild rose on the top of the coffin lid and there you will imprison the creature.

Field Guide to Vampyres

The Thorn Bush

Finally to stop a corpse drinking blood should it ever get the urge to do so, be of strong will or find a likely soul to do this for you, place thorns under its tongue!

Field Guide to Vampyres

Contenders

Finally the hawthorn, bramble, blackthorn and of course wild rose are all suitable contenders. Did you know that a vampyre may not cross a thicket of wild roses.
