I remember, as a child, sneaking into the grounds of an old house and peering through dusty windows to stare at the sepia looking room, deserted of the living, but home to many a ghost. This house was a haunted house. As children we would spook ourselves with ghost tales and create many a night time fear. Nothing is any different today.
The neighbours child called on me. Knocked on the door about 6.30am Sunday morning.
Mr arker, do you know how to scare yourself?
Eh! What's happening? I was trying to focus on this dot of a child somewhere in front of me.
Isn't it steamy, Mr arker? He pointed out to the fog.

Rather impatiently he added, do you know how to scare yourself!
How?
Sit in a forest at night, came the reply. Then there followed tips which I pass on to you.
Pretend someone is following you home. Watch old scary movies on The Unexplained Channel in the dark. Go to a graveyard late at night on your own, and the most fearful thing, listen to scary music like Jeremiah Bell!
I leave you all with a quote attributed to the mighty John Wayne, major motion picture actor famed for his portrayal of tough cowboys and the such. Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway...
